About Us

Fabric Magic opened in March 2002 in a small shop in Trowbridge with just 100 rolls of dress fabric, a limited range of haberdashery and me!   Four years later, because I couldn’t resist buying fabric faster than the customers, we moved to larger premises nearer the town centre.   For five years we worked from here growing all the time, until we couldn't fit any more fabric in!   So at the start of 2011 we moved again and now we have over 1400 different fabrics, all the haberdashery you could wish for, an extensive range of knitting yarns and ten of us to help you with all your queries!

While we would love to welcome you to the shop we understand that if you live far away you may not find it convenient to pop in for a reel of thread.  Don’t despair, just pick up the phone and ring us on 01225 768833 and we should be able to help you with…..

	….dress fabric for any occasion – bridal, evening, daywear, fancy dress, costumes, patchwork, childrenswear, display, soft furnishings - just tell us what you are looking for.  If you’re not sure that we have the right thing, we can send you up to five free fabric samples.
	….any item of haberdashery.   You may need to send us a colour swatch for us to match.  We have good ranges of threads, zips, interfacings, elastics, buttons, beads, needles, Velcro, boning,  waistbanding, scissors, rotary cutters, boards, tapes, bindings, cords, trimmings, lace, poppers………
	….dress patterns from Butterick, Simplicity, New Look, Burda and Vogue are kept in stock, McCalls patterns can be ordered within a few days. Google them to view the full ranges.
	….knitting yarns and patterns from Sirdar, Patons, Katia, Rowan and Woolcraft.  Also all kinds of knitting needles from metal and plastic to bamboo and Knit Pro, circular to sock needles, crochet hooks, bag handles, buttons… We have an ever increasing range of cross-stitch kits, aida, binca and DMC stranded cotton.

Now by popular demand we have started to put a few of our goodies on-line so that you can see (and buy) them for yourselves.  Don’t forget to keep looking while we get the hang of this e-selling!
